In 2019, we will be 150 years old. In order that our historical records are preserved for as long as possible, some have been taken out to be stored at the correct temperature and humidity. Our registers of baptisms and weddings are currently held at Manchester Central Library, St Peters Square, City Centre, M2 5PD. You will need to book an appointment in advance before you go there. To contact them, ring 0161 234 1979 or email email@example.com
Check out their website on: http://www.manchester.gov.uk/info/500138/central_library. You can get copies of Baptism certificates for £11 if collected in person or £13 if you want them posted to you. (2015 prices). You can have a photocopy of a register entry for £1 or less. This is what their website gives as the records they hold, but they also have many other papers, including church magazines, going back over 100 years:
St Marys: Moston
1. Births, Baptisms and Confirmations
Baptisms-1867-2002- Archives GB127.M794
GRAVES: The church has a graveyard attached to it and we have records of burials going back to the 1870s. If you would like to find out if a family member is buried in our church yard, please send whatever details you have about the deceased (full name, month and year of death, address) to us in the contact form below. We have started to digitise these records and match them with photos of gravestones. We don’t charge for these searches, but people are welcome to send a donation to the church if they wish.
